The Eskridge "Big Daddy"
Digger premiered at ICUEE 2003
Eskridge established its roots in the utility industry
by providing over 32,000 diggers for installation on digger
derricks over the past 20 years. At this year's ICUEE, September
23 through 25, Eskridge introduced the new “big daddy
digger.” It is rated at 83,000 foot pounds of torque,
nearly 7 times the capacity found on typical digger derricks.
“Our customers are finding new and innovative ways
to use our products to increase productivity,"said Ron
Broockerd, technical sales, Eskridge.
"Many of our customers install our diggers on existing
backhoes or excavators." he said. "This improves
job site mobility, increases reach and provides faster point-to-point
cycle time when compared to rail diggers or pressure diggers."
In addition to displaying the actual digger at ICUEE, we
showed a short
video of the Big Daddy at work.
A technical note on the videos: Choose dial
up for slower connections, the file size is smaller which
also means the video is lower quality than the high speed
video. You may need to update your media player to view these
files. Get
Windows Media Player.
